Santa Lucía HillThis small hill, with 69 meters high (226 feet), is located in the heart of the city. It has a
great historic importance, as Pedro de Valdivia founded Santiago de Chile at its foot. It has been
declared National Monument.
Nowadays, the place consists mainly in small squares, viewpoints and monuments. Inside it you
will find many sculptures, high staircases and three terraces.
The Capilla Ermita (hermitage chapel) in Gothic style is a highlight. There you will find the
Japanese and Circular Gardens, and even an exhibition of native crafts.
