Parque Metropolitano de Santiago (Santiago Metropolitan Park)
The Parque Metropolitano de Santiago is a huge urban park of about 722 hectares that comprises the San Cristóbal Hills, Chacarillas, Pirámide and Bosque Santiago (Santiago Woods). It is the largest in the country and one of the world’s largest parks. It offers five areas perfect for picnics which are fully equipped, swimming pools for those who want to escape from the summer heat, nurseries with native species, beautiful gardens and natural paths, viewpoints with the best views of the city, crafts centers from all over Chile, children playgrounds and a significant zoo.
