North Shore Circuit - Camet
This circuit starts in Boulevard Marítimo P.P.Ramos and Libertad avenue. It offers the following interesting sites:
Plaza de España: facing the “La Perla” beach complex the monument that pays homage to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra stands out.
Alfajor Factory: The Alfajor (cookies filled with “dulce de leche” -milk caramel spread- or fruit jam, covered in chocolate or meringue) is one of Mar del Plata’s best known souvenirs (Boulevard. Marítimo P.P. Ramos at Brandsen Street).
Luro: This residential district, with lush vegetation and beautiful chalets is located on Florisbelo Acosta street at Felix U. Camet avenue.
“Nuestra Señora de Schöenstatt” Shrine: this beautiful sanctuary is located along Beltrán street, 3200 meters away from the sea. It is surrounded by a magnificent park. A tea-house and a religious handicraft shop can be visited.
Camet Park: located on Félix U, Camet av at 11 Route. It has a lagoon, barbecue spots, children playground, bicycle, horse and pony rentals, bathrooms, cafés, riding club, polo field and craftsmen fair.
