Porto Torres
Porto Torres, another town in Sassari, has a very interesting archeological area, where you will find Roman baths. The largest Romanesque church in Sardina, the Cathedral of San Gavino, is located in this town. It dates back to the 11th Century and was built only with precious hardstones such as marble, granite and porphyry. Porto Torres is located on the Northern coast of Sardinia, and has a port which is around 250km (approx. 3hrs) from Ogliastra.
