The Arch of Trajan
The available information about this arch is not wide. It is called “of Trajan” but it is not certain whether it was erected during this emperor’s rule. It is 15 metres high and part of it is under the pavement. It is believed that it was crossed by one of the city main arteries, called Kardus Maximus. It was constructed with granite hewn stones and it was probably covered in marble.
