Reservoir of Proserpina
Situated only 5 km (3.1 mi) away from Mérida, it has 5 km of uneven contour and it could retain some 6,000,000 cubic metres of water. Its dam is nearly half km long and it raises some 8 metres over the water level and it is more than 6 metres wide. To see the base of the wall, some 40 metres should be dived.
