Imperial Vienna Ringstrasse is the avenue that represents the old imperial splendour: a broad boulevard that
separates the Hofburg and Stephansdom districts from the rest of the city. You will find near there
another charming place: the Freyung passage, with elegant shops. It leads to a courtyard where
there is a fountain and the well-known Café Central.
There are many squares that recall old monarchs, such as the Josefplatz, where the equestrian
statue of Joseph II is placed. Another elegant street is Graben, a highly commercial pedestrian
boulevard. The Kärntner Strasse is the exclusive street for fashion stores and well-known brands.
