Description The name of this restaurant evokes an event that took place 56 years ago in San Cristobal, a little
fish village very close to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The arrival of a big sperm whale’s young
(cachalote in Spanish) to the beach impressed so much the children that, to announce the event, run
through the streets of the village shouting at once: chacalote, chacalote! (bad pronounced).
