Description
The name of this restaurant evokes an event that took place 56 years ago in San Cristobal, a little fish village very close to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The arrival of a big sperm whale’s young (cachalote in Spanish) to the beach impressed so much the children that, to announce the event, run through the streets of the village shouting at once: chacalote, chacalote! (bad pronounced).
When Mr Guillermo Santana Ramírez opened his restaurant 27 years ago, wanted to recall that funny moment by calling it Chacalote. Since then, this establishment has evolved into a magnificent restaurant of both canarian and spanish traditional cooking. You will able to taste exquisite dishes such as the elaborated with fresh fish and seafood.
Enjoy this unforgettable menu in a nice atmosphere decorated in a typical sailor style while you feel really comfortable thanks to the staff’s personalized care.
