Apo, a young Greek patriarch, poet and explorer, deciding to settle in Nianing in 1969. He only had one vision in mind: to create a haven that never existed before. More than 130,000 trees and shrubs were built through blood, sweat and tears, but no water. Years later, Domaine de Nianing was born, the true “green lung” of Senegal's Petite Côte.

Since then the resort has gone from strength to strength, welcoming visitors from all over the world. Situated 20km from Saly, the hotel not only offers peace and relaxation to the weary traveller, but also offers a wealth of activities for those looking for a taste of Africa.
