Portray of the Destination
Monterrey is the capital of the state of Nuevo León in Mexico; it is referred to as the “Sultan of
the North” due to its importance within that area. It is considered one of the three most important
cities in the country for its cultural and tourist attractions.
There are architectonic gems, for instance, the Contemporary Art Museum and the Bishopric
Palace. In the areas surrounding the Macroplaza, you will find very significant religious buildings
that have been standing there for four centuries.
Those travelers loving nature will be able to find in Monterrey natural landscapes, such as the
National Park of Cascada Cola de Caballo, the National Park Cumbres de Monterrey, and the Chipinque
Park, which is one of the biggest parks in the country and stands nearly 8 km (5 mi) to the south
of the city.
